L'île
du beurre
At
the entrance of Condrieux, there is one of those huge islands
formed by the shift of the allivium
which were carried by the RhÙne (cf Perdrix magazine: chapter
called " les LÙnes "). The Nature Observation Center
was set up on the Island. Its aim is to preserve and to valorize
a specific patrimony of the alluvian plains (fona, flora, rivers,
ponds).

The
center is in charge of the management of the site and
also, of the animation and the reception of the prospective
public. The center welcomes the schoolboys and shcoolgirls
of all levels and propose a wide range of educational
animations from the initiation to the elaborate
observation of the ecosystems.
At
the end of the week, the public can freely discover
the site and visit the showings dedicated to nature.
The site has an important cultural and historical interest.
Indeed, one can observe a diversity of plants,
of mammals and amphibians, reptiles
and aquatic and land insects. The fishes
shelter in the Iônes which is a cool place.
The beavers are at the origin of the protection
of this placeÖand they became a symbol. They are twenty
beavers living there.

this park, situated at Col de la République, in
a place named "Les Trois
Croix".
Emmanuel Pozzera survey
the games of the participants from several metres high.
Extending up to one hectare of forest, about 20 different
activities exist made from wood, rope or cables : the
way is sportive and imaginative at the same time, going
from trunks to branches.
From the highest platform, at 20 metres high,
the landscape of Rhône Valley and Alps is astonishing.
The fees are about 50
to 110 French Francs, with
the possibility of getting a guide for groups of up to
8 persons. |
